WorkForce Pro WF-8510DWF from Epson is a colour A3 multifunction office inkjet printer, intended for small to medium sized work groups.

This inkjet printer can scan both sides of a page in a single pass. This allows you to scan large documents very quickly. The flatbed and the ADF can scan media up to A3 in size, so it's perfect for digitising large files in any office environment. A control panel with a 12.7cm touch screen display, a numeric keypad for faxing, and several shortcut buttons that make the printer easier to use. Under the control panel, a panel comes away to reveal the ink cartridges and the inner workings of the machine.

The cartridges that come with this machine are rated at 1,500 pages for colour and 2,500 pages for black. There are also XL cartridges available for this machine yielding 4,000 pages for colour, and 5,000 pages for black. We always recommend the higher yield cartridges, as they offer a lower cost per page and a lower total cost of ownership. Epson are stating that the machines in their WorkForce Pro range have some of the lowest TCOs on the market, just showing how inkjet technology has improved over the past few years. The 8510 uses Epson's precision core technology, precision core uses a thin film to push the ink through the nozzles on the printhead, without the need to heat up the ink first. this allows for incredibly small ink droplets to be produced, placed more accurately and all whilst using less energy. In fact this printer can use up to 80% less energy than comparable laser printers, making it one of the most efficient A3 printers on the market.

There's also a USB port on the front of the printer, for direct printing and scanning. The paper capacity can be raised to 1,831 sheets, with the use of 3 additional 500 sheet paper trays. This also means you can have a total of 5 different types, weights and sizes of media, ready to print on at any given time.

The 8510 prints at up to 34ppm on its fastest setting and can get a page out in as little as 7 seconds, so it's not going to have you waiting around all day.
