Xerox Workcentre 3225 is A4 mono multifunction printer, suitable for single users and small groups, needing a high quality, compact machine. It prints at up to 28ppm, with a first page out in around 8.5 seconds, so great performance, considering it’s price. Automatic duplex printing saves on paper, and with prints from less than 1.5p per page, it’s not going to break the bank either.
At the top Xerox Workcentre 3225 there’s a 40 sheet ADF, built into the lid of the glass scanner. This document feeder is rated for paper weighing between 60 and 105gsm, so if you have some thick paper you need to scan, you’ll be better off using the glass scanner, either way, you can scan colour or mono, and save those scans to JPEG, PDF or TIFF file formats. The interface is easy to use, and with shortcut buttons for scan, copy and fax, you can easily make use for the printer’s functions, with very little effort. You can connect to this machine via USB and Network cables, as well as via a wireless connection, making it perfect for small offices, shops and cafés.
Workcentre 3225 is AirPrint compatible, so Mac, iPad and iPhone users can print from their devices without a driver, and there’s also Wi-Fi direct, for those using other mobile devices. The manual feed slot will take one sheet of paper weighing up to 220gsm, and will also print on transparencies and envelopes. The main tray will handle up to 250 sheets of standard office paper, or paper weighing up to 163 gsm. Not the highest paper capacity available, but just right for those who only print a few pages a day. Split consumables help you get the most out of your machine, as you change the toner and the drums separately. This does equate to more time changing consumables, but this way you don’t throw away image drums or toner cartridges before they’ve reached the end of their life.
The printer ships with 1,500 pages worth of toner, and this can be replaced either another 1,500 pages, or a 3,000 page cartridge. We always recommend the higher yield cartridges, as these will offer a lower cost per page, and a lower total cost of ownership. The drums for this machine are rated at 10,000 pages each. The print quality is great, it’s quiet, and the low running costs mean it’s perfect for people that don’t print too often. Suitable for a small office, a machine that can print, copy, scan and fax.
